Outreach

External Relations Committee

The role of the External Relations Committee (ETC) is to strategically prioritize and develop relationships which will enhance opportunities for SPEA, the membership and Canada’s nuclear industry. These relationship may include professional organizations, political bodies, labour movement, special interest groups, media and other stakeholders in the Candu industry. The ETC will focus on maintaining current information about the status of the industry, raising the public profile of both SPEA, and the nuclear industry. Our goal is to be identified as a major industry stakeholder so that we can play a role in influencing and building the future of Candu technology.

Meetings

Our members have been reaching out to their elected representatives to talk about the role CANDU technologies can play in addressing our climate crisis and powering Canada's economic growth.  Thank you to all the MPs, MPPs,  MLAs and staff for engaging thoughtfully on these critical issues!
